The New York State Association of Cemeteries is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the furtherance of effective cemetery management and operation for better community service. It consists of approximately 520 cemeteries and crematory members throughout New York, and approximately 55 supplier members throughout the United States and Canada – all working together to provide professional services to the communities they serve. NYSAC proposes and sponsors legislation beneficial to New York State consumers and cemeteries. The goals of NYSAC are to promote the advancement of practical knowledge in the operation and maintenance of cemeteries, to create and maintain high ethical standards in the conduct of cemetery administration, and to secure the advantages to be obtained by mutual cooperation.
